Ashes 3rd Test - Preview

Yet another impressive win for visitors in the Ashes series, the series went 2 - 0 despite the England captain's heroics innings in the chase. But everything evolved around Bairstow's dismissal and Spirit of Game discussions, I am happy that Cricket is back today, people will move on from those unwanted discussions and discuss Cricket. The last four days were entirely taken by Spirit of Game discussion and every Cricket legend sharing their opinions on it. If any spirit of game discussion starts, the world will look into Ashwin's tweet or opinion. Ashwin said "Alex Carey noticed the pattern of Bairstow leaving the crease often, he acted smart and hit on stumps when Bairstow left right after he collected the ball. As per the rule, it's OUT. Umpires are guardians of the game and please respect Umpire's decision. There's no need of recalling a batsman who got out within the rules of the game in the name of Spirit of Game."

There's generally never a dull Test match in Headingley and this has no chance of being one either. Whatever happened, happened. Let's see what we are ahead of today's game. As I already shared, Australia will be in full confidence to win this test and close the Ashes here itself but on the other hand, England will be fierce against visitors to stay alive in this Ashes series. England's only hope to stay alive in this series is the absence of Nathan Lyon who got injured at his 100th Test match at Lord's. He is the main spinner of Australia for the last decade but for the first time ever they are going into the field without him.

England made three changes in playing 11 - Mark Wood, Woakes and Mooen Ali will replace Pope, Tongue, and England veteran Jimmy Anderson. Australia will be having one change for replacing Lyon with Tod Murphy which is to like a replacement for him. But will he add value like Lyon, let's see.

England XI - Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Ben Stokes (c), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood.

Australia Probable XI - David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins (c), Scott Boland/Josh Hazlewood, Todd Murphy.

All eyes are on Steve Smith who is set to play his 100th Test match today. His inclusion as a batter in the Test team made wonders for them, he effortlessly replaced Micheal Clarke who was batting on number 4 from then there's no looking back for him. His uniqueness in shot selection and wrist work to play the ball very late at the crease are the main reasons for his success as a batsman.

Let's watch and discuss about another epic test match at Headingley !!

Much needed Vacation

Last few months, I was over-focusing on my work and upskilling my skillset. I lost interest in almost everything including Cricket, Socializing with people. I used to reach the office, finish my work, and read something related to my field. One fine day, my college friend called me and said "Machan, we are planning a vacation trip on Independence weekend, please be available once we plan everything I will share details with you" and disconnected the call. From that moment, I was ready for this weekend. On over-excitement, I came to Chennai one week before our vacation started. I haven't met any of my college friends in the last 1.5 years after life dragged me into Hyderabad. I planned this trip in the way that I have to meet my college friends and then vacation trip. I started on 4th August from Hyderabad and came to Chennai. One guy planned everything and tickets are booked for our trip and rooms too.  From day one in Chennai, I was literally traveling all over the city ...
