Much needed Vacation

Last few months, I was over-focusing on my work and upskilling my skillset. I lost interest in almost everything including Cricket, Socializing with people. I used to reach the office, finish my work, and read something related to my field. One fine day, my college friend called me and said "Machan, we are planning a vacation trip on Independence weekend, please be available once we plan everything I will share details with you" and disconnected the call. From that moment, I was ready for this weekend. On over-excitement, I came to Chennai one week before our vacation started. I haven't met any of my college friends in the last 1.5 years after life dragged me into Hyderabad. I planned this trip in the way that I have to meet my college friends and then vacation trip. I started on 4th August from Hyderabad and came to Chennai. One guy planned everything and tickets are booked for our trip and rooms too.  From day one in Chennai, I was literally traveling all over the city ...

A Decade of Freedom

Today, when I was getting ready for the office amidst of rains in Hyderabad, I got a sudden flashback of a decade ago how I was getting prepared to face the corporate world's reality for the first time in my life. Then I remembered the joining date of my first ever job after completing my Diploma, which is 22nd July 2013. I was wondering how I forgot the most special day in my life. Yeah, it's been a decade ever since I came to know what is corporate and how it behaves. A teenage guy (just turned 18) with absolutely no sense of fashion and with complete arrogance who passed his Diploma with distinction and knew only about Electrical Engineering from textbooks has to face the corporate world in India's IT Hub. I got placed in a campus interview with FMCG Company in Bangalore on 30th January 2013. Since that day I started imagining my life in Bangalore where I am free to do anything without anyone's supervision.  Finally, the day came to say Goodbye to my native after 18 ...

Review of 3rd Ashes Test - Day 1

Hey everyone, it's me again with the Ashes review. An English summer day at Headingley Stadium, Leeds. Both captains came out for the toss, Ben won the toss and chose to field first. The last time when both teams met here, Ben Stokes pulled off an unbelievable chase with Jack Leach on the other end. England is hoping for the same kinda chase and to stay alive in the Ashes. Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, and Mooen Ali came back into England squad. Mitchell Marsh, Scott Boland, and Todd Murphy came back to the Australia squad. What a terrific start for England with the ball, Stuart Broad removed David Warner for a record 16th time in Test Cricket. An inswinging delivery and Warner tried to defend it and got a thick outside edge and catch taken by Crawley at the second slip position. Marnus came to the crease in the very first over. Mark Wood literally breathes fire on his first spell against Marnus and Khawaja. He was so accurate with his length and line, and his extra pace becomes so dan...

Ashes 3rd Test - Preview

Yet another impressive win for visitors in the Ashes series, the series went 2 - 0 despite the England captain's heroics innings in the chase. But everything evolved around Bairstow's dismissal and Spirit of Game discussions, I am happy that Cricket is back today, people will move on from those unwanted discussions and discuss Cricket. The last four days were entirely taken by Spirit of Game discussion and every Cricket legend sharing their opinions on it. If any spirit of game discussion starts, the world will look into Ashwin's tweet or opinion. Ashwin said "Alex Carey noticed the pattern of Bairstow leaving the crease often, he acted smart and hit on stumps when Bairstow left right after he collected the ball. As per the rule, it's OUT. Umpires are guardians of the game and please respect Umpire's decision. There's no need of recalling a batsman who got out within the rules of the game in the name of Spirit of Game." There's generally never a du...

Review of 2nd Ashes Test - Day Five

What an entertaining day of Test Cricket, Ashes series keep on living up to its hype and increasing it every other match. If you're a Cricket lover and missed it to witness what the greatest England all-rounder did for his team, please make sure to watch the highlights of today's play.  With both Ben's in the crease, England started proceedings for the final day in Lord's and Starc with the ball for Australia. Soon, Duckett unleashed his aggressive approach against Starc and Cummins. He scored quick runs and the partnership crossed 100 runs. Meanwhile, the English skipper reached 50 runs in 99 balls. Duckett continued his way of making runs till the drinks break of the first session.  Hazlewood continued after the drinks break and removed Duckett by playing another short ball strategy he tried to pull it on the square leg side and got a top edge, and Carey takes a splendid right diving one-handed catch. Bairstow came in, he is one of the dangerous players while chasing ...

Review of 2nd Ashes Test - Day Four

What a day in Ashes 2023, it was full of moving-to-win predictors toward Australia and suddenly England pulled up their socks and started dragging toward them to make this contest even on the final day at Lord's.  There was rain before the day's play, so session timings were revised and permitted an extra half an hour for weather intervention. Robinson and Anderson started from where they left off yesterday and Australia was top of their game by respecting the good deliveries of English bowlers. Smith attacked Anderson on the 50th over for 3 fours in the over. The runs started flowing for Australia, hosts don't have an answer for that. A solid first hour for Australia, English bowlers tried a short ball strategy but lacked some discipline in their tight lines and length. Straight after the drinks break, England got their most wanted breakthrough and it's Broad who removed Khawaja. A sharp cutter at the body line and Khawaja got a top edge and substitute fielder Potts d...
